Yesterday, 13 April 2016, at the end of the project, the conference was held in the session room of the City Office in Kalety entitled: “Energy Efficiency Improvement of the public building through a complex thermo-modernisation of the City Office in Kalety at ul. Żwirki i Wigury 2”, which is co-financed from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Fund 2009-2014. The conference was aimed at promoting this project and its organization resulted from guidelines of the EEA Fund regarding the promotion of projects.

The meeting was attended by Andrzej Elwart Member of the Board Tarnogórski district, Councilors of the City Council in Kalety: Chairman of the City Council Eugeniusz Ptak, Vice-President Janina Perz, Irena Nowak, Mirosława Potempa, Ryszard Sendel, Kazimierz Złotosz, Grzegorz Krupa, Antoni Jeż, Krzysztof Rogocz, skarbnik Miasta Kalety Renata Sosnica, employees of the Department of Strategy and Development of Kalety, a representative of the Department of Building District Office in Tarnowskie Góry, Heads of educational institutions of Kalety and contractors, inspectors and designers of the investment. It was also attended by the local media. The editors of the local television TG station and the press – weekly newspaper Gwarek, were also present.

The meeting was opened by Klaudiusz Kandzia, City Mayor who welcomed the guests and pointed out the genesis of applying for funds from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Fund for the thermo-modernisation of the building of the City Office. Then, the employees of the Faculty of Fundraising presented to the gathered a multimedia presentation, during which they recalled the principles of the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Operational Programme PL04 ​​"Saving energy and promoting renewable energy sources", under which the City of Kalety was granted the funding. There was also presented the project entitled “Efficiency energy improvement of the public building through a complex thermo-modernisation of the City Office in Kalety  at ul. Żwirki i Wigury 2”, where the guests had the opportunity to find out about a photographic report of the work progress.

At the end of the meeting, all participants who attended were asked to complete an evaluating questionnaire to investigate the level of knowledge in the field of the project financing.
